About us

Coping with life has never been more demanding than it is today. The pace of life is so hectic, that many don't know where to turn next for peace. Not a few turn to alcohol or drugs as an escape. At Third Baptist, you'll discover a peace through Christ Centered worship. The 9:00 A.M. FAMILY WORSHIP service gives families the opportunity to enjoy God together. The 11:00 A.M. SUNDAY WORSHIP service brings together friends who rely on God and who have confidence in His goodness, faithfulness and love. We don't carry the world on our shoulders. Discover the joy of hymn singing, the gladness of scripture reading, the enjoyment of special music and of giving, the blessed permanence of Truth in a Bible centered message from the WORD OF GOD. The invitation

"Satisfy us in the morning with thy steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days." Ps 90:14

Worthwhile prayer at Third Baptist

Christian disciples were never promised a bed of roses. They suffered ridicule and even death in the arenas. But this didn't stop them. They knew about the power in prayer . . . and they prayed! Each WEDNESDAY evening at 7:00 P.M., we meet to pray: for the needs of others, for our needs, for their families, for our families, for the sick, for the well, for big things, for small things . . . for everything . . . for YOU. Discover listening to others pray and praying yourself.

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16

The Word of God at Third Baptist

One of the tragic aspects of modern life is the loss of a sense of `community' of belonging. In our 10:00 A.M. SUNDAY BIBLE SCHOOL (open to all ages), we emphasize lessons centered on the Word of God, managed by trained dedicated leaders and teachers. Rights of individuals are encouraged through participation and opinion. Discover the sense of belonging.

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth." II Timothy 2:15

The wonder of Praise at Third Baptist

A relationship with other believers gives one a sense of peace and contentment even in the face of upheaval from all sides. Our 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening service is relaxed and informal. The music is special and . . . you will be too!

"Singing unto the Lord a new song . . . " Isaiah 42:10
