Pastor Fred's oridination

The church gathers to ordain Pastor Fred

The family of believers at Third Baptist Church came to participate in the ordination of Pastor Fred Ferreira. Pastor Fred graduated from Andersonville Baptist Seminary with a degree in Theology. He also graduated from Forestdale Christian Counseling School. He has been married to his wife Gail for more than 30 years and has raised three children: Laura Jean, Daniel and Jonathan; all of whom are involved in ministry at Third Baptist. Through the years he has worked in the Christian counseling ministry helping hundreds face the trials of life with the help of prayer and the wisdom of God's word.

Part of every ordination is the "Interrogation." Pastor George asked Pastor Fred some important questions about his faith and about his understanding of doctrine. Like so many Christians, Pastor Fred came to the Lord because some one was obedient and witnessed to him.

"He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him. For if a man cannot manage his own household, how can he take care of God's church?" - 1 Timothy 3:4,5 (NLT)

We all got together for food and fellowship after the ceremony. Of course Pastor Fred said grace. All of us who are part of the family at Third Baptist pray for Pastor Fred's long and fruitful ministry.

The cake

The cake contained some excellent godly wisdom for Pastor Fred and all Christians: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
